A Little About Ourselves
Shields School is a Pre K through 4th grade program, located in the Brighton Park community at 43rd Street and Rockwell Ave. The enrollment of Shields, a neighborhood school, is over 500 students. We are proud to say that Shields is home to multiple generations of family members which reflects our family and community commitment to our school. Shields School’s mission is to prepare our students to transition to the Middle School prepared for academic success and to build college and career readiness. We accomplish this by providing students with a rich, rigorous instructional program that is aligned to the Common Core Standards and meets students’ individual needs.
